Important question Please Help - Sponsor Parents for GC in Canada

Hi All,
  I have a very important question for u all. I have my canadian GC and US GC for the past 2 years and have been working in US. Have filed taxes in canada. Can I sponsor my parents for Canadian GC.
  I want to know they will get their canadian GC for sure before I give up my US Green Card.

WHat are the rules for sponsoring parents for Green Card? Do u have to be employed by a canadian firm? ANy help would be appreciated.

filed taxes in canada?

Could you please clarify what do you mean by "filed taxes in canada"? Did you pay taxes in US AND in Canada? or just in Canada?

Would US let you file taxes just in Canada and not in US when you are working in US?
