Important Question After Passport Stamping Process

This is for all who have got their PP stamped.

I got mine done this week at PHILADELPHIA . I have a concern.

The form on which the fingerprint and signature was taken was blank.

The officer didnt fill any thing. Just took my index finger print and signature on both sides of the form. When i asked what about filling the form, he said, he is going to send the form and my approval notice and my old EADs etc as a package and i they would fill the form and everything else, and i would receive my card within a year.

Is it normal that the form was not filled. I have read some times the officer filles the form and some times the candidate does that.

Has anyone experienced the same - blank form.

Yes, thats correct. I did mine in Atlanta and the form was blank. Just signature and fingerprint. Nothing to worry about. Good Luck !!!
I was also told that it can take upto a year to get Plastic Card and I got mine in 10 days.

Our cases were approved today. Can I take a printout of the online status or the email from USCIS-CSSO, to go for passport stamping, or do I need to wait for the courtesy copy?

I assume you need to wait for the courtesy copy atleast.

This is what i did.

I reached the Callowhill Street Office at 6 in the morning. I was 2nd to reach there. I waited till 7:30 to get in. After that they gave us a ticket number (like in driving liscence places). When my number came after 20 minutes of wait, i went to the booth where i was helped. The officer checked the approval notice, took my old EADs, two pictures, old I94. Then he checked the computer to confirm it was all my case and everything was in order. It took in all 2 minutes. Then he took my index finger print and finally my signature. Then he stamped on my passport and told me i could use that to travel and re entry till one year. Within 1 year i should get my physical plastic card.

So in all it was almost 2 hours of wait to get a 2 minutes stamp. But you know what.............. that 2 hours of wait was not as long and anxiety filled as the 2 years we waited.
