GC Gurus,
My GC is being processed thru an attorney (EB based). The attorney (atleast in the initial stages) was more biased towards compny\'s interests. Most (if not all) of the correspondence with INS is being handled by the attorney. I am now waiting for I-485 approval.
Could someone please tell me,
* During the whole process of the GC, what documents should be with me.
Say, if I like to change my attorney, or employ services of some
other attorney in addition to the current one if some complications come
up in future stages, what documents should be in my pocession to easily
swith my attorney?
Currently, my I-485 receipt is with my attoney. Is it normal? Should I
be having the original? Even when I renewed my EAD, I just presented
a copy of the I-485 receipt. In future, would I be needing the original
for any purpose? Does the Employer have any right to insist that the
originals be not with me?
Thanls
