Dear Readers,
Due to recent changes in OPT extension rule (8th April 2008), I am starting this thread to get some info.
Cap Gap is one thing where most of the information is available at USCIS.
But what about students who are currently on OPT and want to continue their OPT by 17 months?
As long as they are same field as their degree, can they apply for OPT extension before 90 days of OPT expiry date?
If H1 is approved for such students, can they still have a choice to get OPT extension through other employer?
It looks to me that these students will benefit more by not having their H1 approved?
