IMPORTANT : How long can I stay after my H1 has expired ?

My H1B visa is expiring on April 30th. And I intend to return to India. For how many days can I stay officially after my H1B has expired ? Is there any grace period during which I can use to wind up everything here ?

If you want to avoid being in out of status (for future usa visits) , then convert to visitors visa.
There are no grace period.
