I got German Visa for myself and my wife today in NY.
I asked for travel VISA as my travel plans were open and I din't know exactly my departure/return dates. They gave me travel VISA until Feb 05 with multiple entries. I can stay up to 5 days in schengen countries if needed before the expiry date. U need to have emp letter/bank stmt/med insurance proof etc. $32 for Each VISA. I told them I had a family emergeny which makes my travel plan OPEN eventhough I had confirmed tickets.
I thinks this should help people who are traveling through germany and have open travel plans due to personal/professional reasons.
