It has just been announced that I-485 filings will be accepted through 08/17/2007, revoking the controversal update for Visa made on July 2. In the new news release it also mentions that the filing fee for I-485 will be the same as it is now even into the month of August, but it did NOT mention exactly what the filing fee for I-140 would be in August. Will it be the current rate for those of us affacted by the visa confusion, or will new rate apply by August?
