Important: AP renewal status changed to RFE

Hi folks,
I checked the online status for AP renewal for my wife and I and it now says:
On July 10, 2003, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case. The notice explains in detail what additional material is needed. If you have questions about the notice, what is required, or if 14 days have passed and you have not received the notice. Please contact the service center where you submitted your application during business hours.

If anybody recently got an RFE, can you suggest what is that I should anticipate in the RFE.

Nice to know what to anticipate. This looks like a standard set of things for EAD/AP particularly renewal

I also got an RFE for my spouse's AP.

The on-line message changed on the 7th and I received the actual notive in the mail on the 10th. Replied the same day by overnight express (time sensitive).

The RFE was for marriage certificate only but I went ahead and reminded them on the pending I-485s as well in hopes they'd give a damn about it.

I somewhat wonder why would they ask for a document they should alteady have for about 2 years now? The logic behind it or lack thereof rather escapes me.

yeah I wonder the same too. Looks like lawyers need to need to send all and sundry associated with the case to get approval straightaway. Otherwise, it is an RFE. Don't understand this stuff.
