I have to import my car at the time of landing. But my car is inadmissible and cannot be imported from US to CA.
There is some questions:

1.May I drive my car and land in Canada and then return back to US,and then sell it before I will return back to Canada?

2.If there is 30 days to register the car in Canadian motor vehicles office, may I enter Canada with my car and live there less than 30 days without registration or canadian officer will check if my car inadmissible and I won\'t be allowed drive my car from canadian border to Canada?

If somebody knows how to avoid this problem it will be really helpful.

m_il,
Based on my experience 2 years ago, I think they will not allow you to take your vehicle from the prt of entry. Actually the process while landing is that, the immigration dept verifies all the paper work like passport, landing paper etc... Then the customs dept. takes over and gathers information about what you are bringing and such.

When a car is involved, the registrar of imported vehicles is involved. They first impound the car, then they look up their docs to see if the car is "importable". Once if it is importable then you might need to pay some fees for importing and then the release the vehicle. Though this sounds serious, the whole process is much smooth. Again I had a vehicle that is importable. I am not sure what to say since you have said that the car is not importable. I would suggest then you sell your car before landing. Or may be leave it with a friend for a few days and go back and sell it later.

Check out the site for registrar of imported vehicles at www.riv.ca may be there are some pointers. May be you are aware of this site already.

Good luck

p4waitin ,

thank you.
I called to Canada Custom&Revenue Agency and they told me that I can say on the border that I\'ll be back to US.And I use my car for transfer my goods to Canada only. And then I will return to US,get rest of my stuff and sell my car and then I will go back to Canada. And I can not include my car to any list of goods because it is not importable.
Don\'t know how it will work on the border...

I have another question:
Can I bring with me some software CD\'s,which are pirate?Do I have to write it into list of goods like "CD\'s - $200" or like "software CD\'s....."?If I will write its name I think there will be a problems.Or there will be a problems with software CD\'s anyway?

Thank you.
