Implications Of Leaving Gc Sponsoring Job

hi gurus,
I have a question and I think lots of people in this forum might have similar situation . If somebody can clearify.
I am a physician and working for the last 4 years for the sponsoring employer and waiting for the cp interview,( stuck becasue of the retrogression). Now if I leave the present employer and would like to do extra year of fellowship with new H-1 and the sponsor will continue supporting the GC. After getting the GC if I don't come this this employer what may be the implications in long term?
thanks if somebody can clearify and suggest.

ok hope this helps

Ok hope this helps, if u r already on H-1 you can go onto the fellowship but make sure they also file for your LC as you will need it to extend your visa beyond 6 years.

For getting the GC and not going back to the sponsor, not sure if consulate would check if u r still with same employer so email a lawyer to confirm.

I have heard that u need to work atleast 6 months with the employer who got you the GC as it may cause problem when u apply for citizenship but people can move to other employers once they get the EAD if they did not opt for CP.

Now if u already have an I-140, with the PERM processing you can get an LC in 6 months from a new employer and port the priority date from current I-140 that will work too.

So plan well and good luck, can i ask u where r u in US, I will b looking for H1 opportunities by July please email dr_irshad2001@yahoo.com
