A friend of mine is a GCH for last 3 years. He is due to complete 10 years of working in US and expected to reach magic mark of 40 points.
He is comtemplating to return back to his home country for good. Naturally, over a period of time he will his GC. His spouse and kids have US citizenship. His home country does not have reciprocal arrangement with US
His questions are as follows:
i) Does that mean he also looses his accumulated social security benefits ?
ii) If no, then what he needed to do to ensure that he does get these benefits when they are due. Does he need to inform social security dept, INS etc. Whats a best course of action for him.
