The inputs from this forum has helped me in not making bad decisions during the tough times I gothrough - thanks to the great contributors of this forum.
By Jan 2004, Six year period in my H1B visa will be over. Applied for I-140 in July 2002 and still waiting for the approval before proceeding with cp option.
Lost my project in Jan 2003. Employer is not willing to pay salary during bench. Apart from the ability to get a new project, lot of factors like consulting position project in this soft economy, companies not willing to sub contract and so on also made my situation worse.
Planning to try for one more month before winding up and go back to India. Will be grateful for any input on the following:
1. What will be the influence of no pychecks for Jan, Feb 2003 on my I-140 approval?
2. Planning to move to my brother's place in March. Will notifying the INS regarding change of address complicate the situation further?
