Impact of FP date on I-140 and I-485 Approvals

Does the FP date really matter when it comes to I-140 or I-485 apllications being pickep up for review and Approval?

My FP notice gave me 2 choices. One for a earlier date and another one for a later date that was approximately 1 month later. I chose the latter (Surprised? I was very busy during this time. May have been stupid of me to have chosen this option).

But the results of the FP are now with BCIS. My I-140 and I-485 were filed concurrently. The receipt date is 10/17/03. The Fingerprints were received on March 3rd by the BCIS.

Have I screwed up big time, here? Have I screwed up my chances for a normal consideration of my application for Approval? Please let me know.

NO you have not screwed up. As long as you have show up for your appointment and given your fingerprint you are fine. We can keep coming up with all kinds of theories on the way TSC is processing applications based on fingerpints, filing dates and whatever else we can think of, but the reality is know one really knows.

Not really..

since your's is concurrent filing all it matters is once they have your FP ready then your 140 and 485 approval is within minutes(assuming everything is fine)

No,it doesnt matter as long as you give your FP earlier than they open I-485 file.

No.

you are getting closer...u may receive your approval mails from USCIS anytime...

Don't be a paranoid !!! You possibley cannot screw up your GC by delaying FP for a month and beyond that TSC can screw up a perfectly good case too, so just leave it at that and have beer meanwhile. If not today, you will get GC in 6 months ....
