I have filed for my Green Card Adjustment of Status about 3 weeks ago and have yet to receive my green card. I understand it takes 3 months to get it. However, in the meantime I have been fired from my company. My questions are the following:
1. Does the filing of Adjustment of Status allow me to be in the US? Should I be just waiting for my green card now?
2. if not, how long would my H1 be valid in the US?
I would request some help as I am in a bad situation at this time.
