Would filing EAD couple months after filing 485 trigger request for evidence (RFE) or delay green card (GC) processing? Please post experience, if any. Reason for filing EAD is the fact that sponsoring company could have some problems after 6 to 9 months from now. My understanding is that having EAD allows safer move to another company in the case of layoff. Even that my H1B will be still valid, new company does not need to go through advertising of available employment opportunity (which can take over month), and I do not need to wait for H1B transfer. Is this correct?
