Impact of Backlogs on I485 Processing

Hello Everyone:

I am starting this thread to find out your opinion on this. As VSC stopped processing I-140s between Sept 2000 and March 2001, and because many EB3-based approvals may not have been eligible to file 485s due to the PD backlog between Dec-April, obviously fewer than average employment-based I485s must have been filed during Jan-April, 2001.

Would you therefore hazard a guess after a month or two I485 Approval Dates could move faster than the current run rate?

For tracking purposes, please place a "yes" or a "No" to the Message Header, adding your thoughts in the main section. Thanks in advance.

No

There were many people whose 140 was already approved and they were waiting for the Priority date to move. So, I guess the number might be a bit less but not too less as you pressume. But still, if they involve more resources I think it might move faster.
