Impact of a work trip to Iran on Greencard Process

Hey guys .. My wife's work want to send her on a work trip to Iran. Currently we are waiting on her green card consular application for an interview . The trip most likey will be before her greencard interview. We are not sure if this will negatively impact her visa application process . Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

One cannot say for certain how it will impact her application however I believe Iran is on the list for sponsors of Terrorism. The trip may not hurt her application but I'm pretty sure it will not help.

Make sure she keeps enough documentation about the trip so she can prove it's for work purposes, not her own personal agenda.

Is she inside or outside the US?

Thank you Jackolantern. She is overseas currently. We are waiting on NVC to set up the interview which will be most likely after the trip if she decides to take the trip.
 
Funny you should say that, Iran itself is among the countries eligible to take part in DV green card lottery
