Imp: Senator/Rep feedback Required

Hi All,

I need some info and help regarding Senators to be contacted for following up case. My 485 has been filed with the VSC but I am residing in CA.

I did a search for senators in my area (Santa Clara County) and narrowed down to 2.

1) Senator Feinstein

2) Rep Mike Honda

Has anyone recently contacted either of them before ? If so can you please share your experience. It will be a valuable help to me folks. This is the last straw and hoping that this time it will work.

Please friends - do share your experience or let me know if there is some other senator who is good.

Thanks in advance!

Dear Mr. ngadhia

Thank you for taking the time to write to me about problems with the
Bureau of Citizenship
and Immigration Services (BCIS). I have read your letter and welcome the
opportunity to respond.

In 2000, I introduced and Congress enacted the "Immigration Services
and Infrastructure
Improvement Act of 2000." The Act required the Department of Justice to
issue a report to
Congress on the extent of the immigration and naturalization backlogs and
the adequacy of the
agency's automated systems to manage and reduce its pending workload. The
report did not address
all of my concerns, however, and BCIS has not issued an update to its
efforts to reduce processing
delays. Please know that I will continue to raise your concerns with
Eduardo Aguirre, Director of
BCIS.

Thank you again for writing. Should you have any further questions
regarding this issue,
please feel free to contact my Washington, D.C. office at (202) 224-3841.

Best Regards.

Sincerely yours,

Dianne Feinstein

In short.. no solid reply .. and now we just wait for some miracle to happen...

:(

Also, senator does not appreciate and fully understand the scope of the problem. i.e ( In English very few people living under her constituency have expressed there greivance about BCIS to her ).

If she get atleast 20-30 485 fillers each day expressing there dis-pleasure at the incompetency of BCIS , then we would see results in ''days ".

Guys do the needful. Write letter to the senetor .

-jay.

Thanks

Thanks for your reponse and info. It does look bleak i.e. senator's reply. I think it could be just a formal letter sent apart from the actual enquiry that they will do on your behalf.

Anyway I dont have any other option left. Will contact the Senator and see if that helps my case with VSC.

Thanks again!

I wrote to senator Feinstein.

The reply was a blank email with the subject "out of state".

I am living in GA but my case is pending in CSC. I had given all these details in my letter but no use.

If you guys who is living in CA can send letters, probably the process might get faster.
Good luck!!

Mike Honda is not a Senator - he is a Congresman for the 15th district.. in essence covering most of Silicon Valley...

I spoke with their offices yesterday.. I happen to have a very good relationship with the Mayor of Sunnyvale who introduced me to them...

they said that they will follow up with BCIS...

I will let you know how things work out..
My 485 is relatively new compared to lot of others in the forum...
Aug 2002, however I am trying to do what I can to see if I can get faster results..

Regards

Ravi
