Imp question on 2nd FP

1st FP - Feb 2002

Guys, I contacted my lawyer and told him to enquire about my case. He said that it is still too early to enquire. He then said that he has made arrangements with Ed Pendergast at USCIS Application Support Center in West LA for my 2nd FP.

My question is that even though I have not received any 2nd FP notice, can I just go to the application support center and give my FP? (My lawyer has asked me to go next week)

Has anyone had this experience?

If my 2nd FP is taken, does that mean that I should be happy and expect my approval even though my ND is Dec 17 2001 and the JIT is Dec 16 2001?

i think u need fp notice to go for fingerprinting. Most of the cases are getting RFE. So you may or may not get a approval right away.
 
My lawyer has told me to just take my Passport and contact Mr. Pendergast...

Maybe, I do not get RFE because I am the derivative applicant. My spouse got GC in May last year after RFE. We married after my spouse had filed I-485 (but before it got approved) but our cases were not approved together.
 
Sounds like your attorney has arranged it all and all you have to do is ask for Mr Prendergast at the Application Center. If he has sorted it out for you by a back door way, I would not worry about it and just go as instructed.

Pretty cool. I wish it were always that easy.
 
This is pretty odd. I guess you can take a chance. But, I don't seem to have heard of any case here so far where somebody went for a FP without a notice. B.T.W who is this Mr. Prendergast. If this works out, we should request all our lawyers to call Mr. Prendergast and arrange a FP .... :D
 
Ok Guys... I went and gave my 2nd FP on Wednesday (3rd DEC) and guess what????.... the FP's have already been received by INS (or whatever it is now!!!) and the info updated on the web.

"On Dec 05, 2003 your Finger Prints were received and processing has resumed....."

Is this cool or what? Does anyone think this means that I should see my approval shortly. My ND is dec 27 2001.

Sorry to disillusion you but there is a good chance you will just go back to waiting for some time. My second FPs cleared on 10/21 - since then nothing.
