Hi friends,
Good news is that we just recd our 485 receipt notice within 15 days.
Bur as always, there is one bad news.
Our lawyer mentioned that there are some changes to the \'walk-in\' EAD processing at the Boston office which could delay things by 3-4 weeks.
Seems that they are installing the Federal IBIS system.
Please read the following:

DELAYS IN EAD AND ADVANCE PAROLE PROCESSING

Members have been reporting that this week they have been told that EAD,
advance parole and adjustment applications cannot be adjudicated at the
present time. At yesterday\'s Chapter Chairs teleconference, the answer to
why was provided. Effective immediately for the entire country, all
applications and petitions must be checked in the IBIS system. IBIS stands for Interagency Border Information System and is the same system used to check passengers & crew arriving in the US from foreign countries. This will temporarily result in some delays in the adjudications process. The Adjudications Tracking System (ATS) - - the web-based system for issuing
receipts and scheduling notices for adjustment of status interviews, EAD
appointments, and fingerprints appointments - - will be installed in all INS
offices. Training for the officers and clerks will be given as soon as
possible. Once completed, this should enable the resumption of
adjudications.

The Boston office expects to have delays of three or four weeks before the
IBIS checks will be able to be done here. Even when adjudications resume,
it may not be possible for EADs and advance parole to be issued on a walk-in
basis. Ms. Haydon very much wishes for same day adjudications to continue,
but at this time she simply does not know if this will be possible. We will
be notified of this as soon as the Boston office knows
