Iam in a process of getting my Canadian Immigration .I had a few questions regarding the same.It would be helpful if some one would ans these

1) After getting my landing Papers, I guess there is 1 year time for the person to actually go in canada,Now suppose I go get my SIN, & get a locala dd there & come back & continue to stay in US, How will this affect my Canadian PR ??I mean if I keep on going to Canada once in 6 months & coming back how long can I maintain my canadian PR in this way ??

2)Is it possible to mainatain your Canadian PR without actually being there ??If I can , for how much time can I do that ????

if you don\'t maintain minimum residency days, you risk losing your PR status.

You have to be there for 183 days each of 3 years.

You have to be there for 183 days each of 3 years. Otherwise that year will not be counted for citizenships\' requirment(3 years stay). Not only that, your willingness will be not proven to stay in canada for ever. so, you have to stay atleast 183 days in year.

People travels through road way and enteres in USA after getting SIN etc. So, logically, canada never knows this person is not in Canada. you may keep your wife and children in Canada with 1 apt. that will prove your willingness to stay in canada.
