Hi everyone,

I am about to apply and send all of my forms and unfortunately my wife has lost her passport and it takes us 2-3 months to get a new one. So Can I go ahead and send the immigration forms and inform them of the change in her passport numbers after she gets a new one or should I wiat until she gets her new passport and then send the application forms with the updated info.

This has happened at a very bad time and it will certainly slow us down ...
Any idea?

My general advice is...go ahead and apply assuming you are OK with the understanding that your application packet may come back if they decide that a missing document is reason to send it back to you....chances are 50-50 that this will happen.

Usually, they will issue you the AOR and the reference number documenting receipt of your case...you can then always send them the passport details once you get that resolved.

Bottomline...dealing with CIC (Buffalo Office) on such matters is more satisfying and pleasant than what you have experienced thus far.

:)
