immigration status and EAD renewal

Hi,

My wife is a derivative beneficiary for our 485 filing and is currently working on 485 based EAD.

What is her current immigration status? We need to answer this question on Form I-765 question 15 to renew her EAD.

Also, do we need to submit Signature Card for applying EAD renewal at TSC?

You have raised a good point as I am also not sure of what to put on lines 14 and 15. Hope somebody can throw light on that.

I need to file for the renewal of my EAD as well as my wife\'s since the first EAD is expiring exactly 90 days from now. Right now I am working on my H1 as that is valid and haven\'t really used my EAD.

The signature card needs to be sent for sure. I looked up the INS website and they have clearly noted that in red. Unfortunately, the signature card can\'t be downloaded from the website and needs to be ordered by mail. I went to the Dallas district office today to see if I can pick it up from there but was asked to stand in the general line for enquiries and appointments. Since it was already noon (they close at 1 PM) I did not think it was prudent to stand. I don\'t even know if one can pick it up from there. Any idea how much time they take to send forms by mail.

You may get signature card with in 7 business days.

I requested thru their web site. By mail I got that signature card with in six days. And also in application you can fill non-immigrant worker(H1)in 14. the same in 15 if your H1 is valid. If not fill it I-485, in 15.

According to my attorney, line 14 is "H-1B, temporary worker" if you are in H1 status. Line 15 is "Adjustment applicant" if you filed I485.
