Here is a modest proposal for solving the illegal immigration issue once and for all: Invade and occupy Mexico and admit it into the Union as the 51st state. That way, we can put an immediate end to all of the political hand-wringing on this pressing and volatile issue. Before you dismiss this idea as reckless, consider that there's something in this plan for every American, regardless of their political stripe.

From a purely historical perspective, Mexico is just taking back land that was rightfully theres and was taken away by the US after the war. The US can take over Mexico if it so chooses .. maybe it should have done it when they took over the northern most parts.

So there are many words like Guru,Pandit,pajama,juggernaut .... à la carte,au gratin,déjà vu .. that are not true english .. they add richness to english.

Actually I think Mexico would have preferred that it took over the USA!
But if that ever happened I think the economy of the North American continent would go to the $hitter... look at how the Mexico runs its own economy.

All the stats show that money remittance from USA is their number 1 source of revenue (around US$20billion i believe).... higher even than their oil industry. They WANT more of their people in the USA working rather than back in their own home soil.

But yeah... the idea isn't really new... if we want to solve this situation in one move... just annex Mexico into a Commonwealth... like Puerto Rico is. They would be able to freely travel back and forth and keep their own Justice system and government....

This "solution" of "invading Mexico" is equivalent to "cutting the head to get rid of the headache"

PS:

"SAMACHAR" is a common Hindi/Marathi/Gujarati word meaning "NEWS" which is part of "Hi-nglish" as spoken in India.

Just as American English is distinctly different from British English, English in India has some distinct Indian flavor.

Mexico has rich oil reserves, mines of copper, gold and other resources.
Power in Mexico is very well controlled, very tight. They would laugh at that proposal. The US would never invade Mexico by force for obvious reasons.

Oh, you mean the millions who were recently in the streets waving flags of *cough cough* THAT country?
Apparently they have already successfully invaded this country....

Agree. The only difference is that some words are well known and can be found for example in Wikipedia. If we want to keep this forum international let's use English as common language.
