immigration questions at POE

Hi

I took a long vacation from nov 1 2003 till jan 11 .I am a bit worried because the immigration officer @ SFO would surely ask me Y I took such a long vaction

1) did not get the tickets to fly back

2) was going to India after a gap of 3 years

Please help me out with this question

CAuse the immigration office @ the airport can be really finik

Please advice

I have recent paystud sep , oct 2003

Letter from employer stating that i was on vacation for the above dates

Help of any kind would be really appreciated

Do you have a valid visa to enter USA now? If so, I dont think you should be bothered about a 2 month vacation. I think it is upto our discretion to decide how long the vacation should be (shouldn't be more than 6 months I think). I have a friend who stayed almost the same time and entered using his travel document. I donno if I am missing something here, but I dont think u should face any problems as long as you have all the paper work inhand.

A good idea would be to get a current letter of employment on your company letterhead.
