Guys ,

What are the tests they do for this OTHER than blod test , shots and TB skin test.

What is +ve tb , is it even if we have a small red scar and no swelling.

Thanks , i know i am asking a medical related question , but there are guys in this forum who had their test done. SO i am asking you.

Thanks

Tests:
--shots that you do not have, you can opt for having your blood tested for immunization. Generally if you have not had a tetanus shot in the past 5 years it will be just the tetanus shot.
--TB test
--Bood test

redness is fine. slight swelling is also fine but not more than 2 mm i think..they have some criteria to measure..if the test is -ve though you will need to get chest X-rays.
dont get too stressed man :)

I am not a doctor or a lawyer, just someone who had this done recently:)

Best of luck!

Thanks

Thanks al-paso ,

I sure appreciate yr response. I was getting conflicting info from differrent INS approved doctors ( i mean different tests ), thats why i wanted to make sure with you guys and be sure what tests need to be done.

Thanks.

INS Medical Examination

I agree with al Paso. I had just mine done about two months ago. I actually had a "false positive" in my TB test. My arm was red and swelling. It turned out that when I was younger, I had a vaccine called BCG that will make your arm swell whenever you have a TB skin test.
Red swelling does not always mean you have TB
Jut some information I thought I would share...
Good luck

physicals done

Thanks al_paso and Hopefulguy ,

I just finished my round of immigration physicals , and below is what they did.

Day 1 : Blood test , TB skin test , and MMR shots and tetanus.

Day 3: Check for tb reaction.

Day 4: Physical test , eye test and blood report . After which they gave me a sealed envelope for each of my family menbers to be submitted to BCIS and also a copy for out records.

Thanks.

wow that was fast..
I took more than a week for the centre that I went to provide me with the medical report sealed envelopes.

It really depends how busy they are I guess. At least, you are helthy and all set as far as the medical examination is concerned.
Now it is a "wait and see" game with the TSC...
I am in the same situation....
