Immigration officers took AP when entering US

My AP was approved on Sept 2003 valid until Sept 2004
On Jan 2004, I went back to my country for vacation.

When I entered US, the officer took all the AP papers ( 3 of them ). He then stamped my I-94 ( departure record).
The stamp saus : "Paroled until Feb 2005, reason: AOS".

I asked him, if he took away my AP, how do I reenter US next time. He replied that the stamp in my passport shoud suffice.

I plan to travel outside US this June. Do I need to reapply AP?

thank you in advance

You should have Gone back to the POE and demanded the AP back. Did a supervisor talk to you or was this the person at the counter? You need at least one copy of AP(Stamped or unstamped) to travel back into US till Sept 2004.

This mess of inability to travel until a new AP is approved is entirely because of your ignorance. Learn your rights.

SHit .. how can he take all 3... some members posted that POE officer took 1 AP from them even though they are not supposed to take even a single copy and in ur case all 3 of them.

Dude i suggest if u live in same city, where u entered , then go to the airport and get to the right person in immigration booth and tell your problem; take ur passport along as it has signature of that guy there.

o/w get a new AP.
