Immigration Gurus please Help - Urgent

Hi all,
Not sure if I should be asking this question in this forum. But I am desperately looking for some guidance.

My company (X) merged with another company (Y) 2yrs back and started doing business under the aquired company's name, Y ( I know its weird ). However my paystubs and W2 still show my company's former name (X). I am still waiting for LC approval but my lawyer pointed out that this will beceome a problem when filing I-140 as you have to provide paystubs and W2 as proof of employment. Is that true ? Is there anything that can be done to address the situation ?
I got my H1-B extension approved under the company's new name (Y) , no issues. I have completed 4yrs of H1B and if I my I-140 can rejected because of company's weird mode of operation I might as well switch jobs.
My lawyer pointed out this thing after 2 yrs :-(.
I am looking forward to all of you for some guidance. Please help

Yes. Send the explaination letter and letter from the company Y, but it is a chance you have to try if no option. For 2 years, you still receive paystubs and W2 on company X? You need to have a good immigration lawyer who agrees to spend time to follow this case closely.

This has got nothing to do with PERM, but anyway...try to get a letter stating the merger. Obviously you have W2s and paystubs to substantiate you were employed, so it should be no problem. Try to see if you have any paperwork that mentions both company news.

I had a similar situation. They decided to have payroll come from a different location that was a former acquisition - it then also showed the old name still. Lawyer said it should be no problem even though the names were different - just prove that they were acquired. I found a paystub that also showed old company name and on the bottom stating: xxx a xyz company.
 
There should not be any problem. I know the same thing to my friend who works with me. He got his GC. Lawyer knows all the stuff needed to do. If you stil need more info. Pls give me ur personal email, I will contact you

Hello All.

First Case of labor

I filed for my labor with company "A" which had branches in NY and NJ. I filed for labor thru NJ-branch in Dec 02. My paystubs too were from the NJ brach. Now the NJ company's name is changed(new partners came in). Thinking if the labor filed in Dec02 comes up withinn 6 months from now(being too optimistic with PBEC), is there a way I can use this labor...

Can I join back this company and file for 140, but my paystubs with the old company name when this labor goes thru

Second Labor case

Switched to the current company and file labor in Oct03 and stcuk at PBEC. Wondering if this labor comes thru say being optmistic again in another year or so, Can I switch back to this company and file 140 ? (Latest plans is to move to another company and file thru PERM) though jittery about filing thru PERM. Cant wait for these old LC's to clear in PBEC...!!

Help me please if u know any case like this...

Life is become nothing but GC these days...not enjoying the day-today life man..!!
