You can listen to this short report on Naitonal Public Radio on their program Morning Edition:
http://www.npr.org/features/feature.php?wfId=1776053
Points brought up include:
Backlog
Need to get repeated EADS and AP
Hardship suffered by applicants because they can't travel
Hike in fees that's imminent
Shortage of staff at USCIS
The news is not earth shattering or something we don't already know very well but I was really pleased to hear it while driving to work this morning, at least it was brought up on National radio even if only a few minutes long.. Hope to see and hear more on this issue in the media.
A few words of appreciation to NPR via email from you all may be a good idea...just a friendly suggestion. I am certainly going to write and thank them for bringing to the public's notice this side of the story when all we hear constantly is negative remarks about immigration and outsourcing.
NPR is funded entirely by listeners donations and in my opinion is very balanced in its reporting, especially with minority's issues!
