Depends on which attorneys. Those who run the AILA (the liberals) are decrying its (hopefully and presumably) imminent passage. More sensible ones keenly appreciate the need to fight asylum fraud and to sustain better control over the issuance of licenses as a homeland security imperative (as well as the need to do away with the unreasonable adjustment cap for asylees so that deserving asylees do not have to wait for 20 years to get their green cards).
