Immigrants refused green cards take Gandhigiri

I don't think its a great idea. Those flowers were redirected to the Walter Reed Medical center for the military personnel. I personally don't think flowers would sway USCIS or FBI in looking at the pending applications and process them immediately. Gandhigiri will only work well in the movies or may be with some emotionally driven individuals....

Yes correct.. I think, USCIS do not understand idea behind the flower. So now a day’s government does not want to take any positive action with LEGAL immigration so what ever you try to escalate by senator/congressman/by calling USCIS/InfoPass do not make any difference. Only you will feel good that you are trying and will get some positive response

In forum people are saying that they got approval after trying.....with senator or infopass or calling TSC but I do not think it makes any difference.

I tried with three senators/InfoPass(2 times)/Called TSC(more then 5 times) send letter to CIS but no positive result.. So just now leave it to luck... i know I do not have luck.. Because there are lots of people and my friends with new PD got approval before 2 years. So just I have accepted that I am not lucky guy to get anything quick.. So just sit and watch the game.

Yup --- all this peaceful protest is just rubbish.
If you want someone to look at your problems in the US, you just have to sue them - plain & simple. As if a bureaucracy would change its policies because it got 200 flower bouquets :rolleyes:

At least ftd.com (flower link endorsed by whoever came up with this idea) benefited hugely from this :D

I can feel your pain.I was in the same boat some time 2 year ago. Got my GC last month.You are 100% right, nothing much can be done at your end except waiting.2 and half years ago I was frustrated as al my friends with newer pD got Gc and I was liking my B*lls. Then I started visiting this site and got some solace from POJ and saras and convinced my self that no I am not the only one. I did all I could do , like calling TSC, congressman, writing to FBI, Ombudsman etc etc. Then me and wife one today assumed that EAD is our GC and worked accordingly. Never checked the status online, never written to anybody and stopped talking about GC to friends and to my wife. We assumed that let it come in my mail. I tell u it relieved me from anxiety .Still my wife card is not received and came to know that they post office has returned it as undelivered. I contacted USCIS dumb terminal and as usual they have no clue and opened SR and advised me wait for 45 days before making call.:D .I told her very clearly not get pleasure in calling you. we had argument for 2 minutes and I wanted her to call her supervisor but she did not.it is more the 30 days and I have not got it after opening SR.
So this f****ing uscis is like that. More you be in touch with them the more u will be frustrated.

the intention is not to get adjudications, but put some pressure and make them answerable to applicants in particular FBI. On this forum, so many people calling USCIS everyday, again and again. do you guys think they will work based on these calls?

All peaceful protests incl. gandhigiri, if works, will ONLY work in countries like US(and not india. I agree there it is good only in MOVIES), since here we do have a system that really WORKS. But like any other system, there are some loose links, and this is just one method to try to influence them to tighten it.

Coming to law suits, goto PACER, and you would know how many were successful. If you thing by suing you can win this, that's rubbish, coz about 5% of cases were only successful. Why not all other judges rules based on the earlier favorable judgements. (That's how normally lawyers present their cases quoting earlier judgements) I think it's only becoz some judges are sympathetic (aren't they emotional) and ruled favorably.

I know everyone have their own opinions, and i respect it. But there lies the facts too..

I NEVER said you will win by suing ... I only said that by suing you can get the attention of the right people and make them look at the problem.
It will not make them find out solutions (to solve the problem) - but rather make someone to take notice at least.

If anything happens it would be more due to the lawsuit than the flowers - that's was my point.

Wanted to correct the misunderstanding.
