Immigrant Visa Expired before the entry

Failed to enter Canada before June 2nd, the expiry date of the immigrant visa (stamped on the passport). The expiry date of the immigration paper is August 2nd (still valid).

This is a case of sponsoring spouse with rest of the family members are already Canadian citizen.

Does anybody know if immigrant visa date can be extended?? Especially with the immigration paper still valid.
OR if any other kind of visa be granted to unite the family while the application is resubmitted.

Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

I think you can extend the date of visa as long as the paper is not expired. But it is unusual because the date of visa is same as the date of expiry of the landing documents.
