After the CP is done in India and the Immigrant Visa packet is received, does the consulate cancel the H1B non-immigrant visa.
Please respond if anyone is aware or have undergone a similar situation
1. Since i have 6 months to enter US POE with my immigrant Visa, can i still travel on my H1B non-immigrant visa within this period. (want to still be on H1B status for 4 months. My H1B expires in Sep 2003.)
The reason is i am single now, so i plan to get engaged and go now on H1B,
come back after 3 months and get married and then take my Immigrant visa packet and fly back again to US and get the I551 stamping at the POE.
Is this possible. Any help or other option is greatly appreciated.
