one intresting facts is for F4 Category (PD is July 1995 for September) is that most of the appointments are for year 1995. there still few appoints for year 1996. I will not be suprise if the next PD for F4 will be January 1996 in October (that will be onther six month jump.).

As per my understanding 1996 is the year when somebody file for that applicant.

:D :D yesssssssssssssss i also now think that it will move atleast 6 months, and after looking at the list. but again isnt this just for bombay only???? or is it for the whole india???? ill b soooooo freakin happy if it DOES move for atleast 6 more months. because as i said before, tht it came in a gujarati newspaper(im gujju) that anyone who applied in the f4, family based category in the year 1995, the beneficiaries will be called for an appointment at any time. it came like 3 weeks ago, i even posted here, but i got no viewers. lol. so oh well im happy. guess not 2 many f4 ppl in here. thnkx, keep posting. :) :) :) :)
 
Yes. you are correct it is only for mumbai, but i also checked for New Delhi it is pretty much similar dates.

sounds like not many pepole are in F4 but my friends by the yearend we will be passing PD for year 1996. keep in mind that in Ocotober new quota will be in place.

If you have that article from Gujarat Samachar. please let me the date of that was published. or if you can create image and post it here will be greate.

sry i dont have the paper any more, and the article wasnt online, i checked it. but trust me, thts wht it said. also im sooo confused now. the cases right now are for 1996, like bmb-1996 blah blah blah, and i know tht the year after the city name abbreviation is the year when the i-130 is approved. so im thinking, mine is nrb-2005-blah blah blah, so mines like more farther?????? so im confused. im thinking this is because of retrogression, but how can it be?
 
You Get It Wrong Guys

The numbers that you saw being displayed on the website are case numbers, not priority dates. Those were created when NVC received the approved petitions. For example if your case was filed on Jan. 1, 1998 at the NIS office and it just got approved and reached the NVC, then your case number will begin with 2006 eg. NMB2006575432. but not with 1998. However you will not be available for a interview until they reached your priorty date that will be Jan. 1, 1998. You will find some people cases reaching the NVC before others, but that does'nt matter. Priority date is the key.

I dont think that article is real, your priority date will have to be current before you are scheduled for a interview.
 
ok im sure about it now, thankx thera33 for claryfing it. also the article IS true, because next month the dates for visa numbers is moving 6 WHOLE MONTHS, which is like amazing, never before i think it has moved 6 months. so half of the year 1995 will b gone as soon as september comes. im thinking tht most likely october visa dates for the family based preference category 4 will also move 6 months again or close. well i hope it does move atleast 6 months if not more. so well i can hardly wait till the october visa bulletin comes out. :D
