Hello,

I am USC who filed for his spouse's GC. Everything has been done and IO told us that her application will be approved as soon as FBI Name Check clears. My spouse has a Infopass appointment tomorrow and I wanted to request some questions for a quick response:

1] Spouse is going alone for Infopass and I am not going with her. Is that a problem anywhere?

2] Can she ask if her FBI Name Check is cleared directly to officer?

3] Will the IO during Infopass appointment be same as the IO Officer who interviewed us or will it be different?

4] Any Do's or don'ts?

5] What are the documents she need to carry with her? Does she need to carry the whole case history ?

Any guidence would be appreciated and if I can get a response in next 2 hrs that would be very helpful.

Regards

Love

From my experience (your mileage may vary):

1. No, not at all.
2. She can and she should.
3. Not necessarily, i.e. may be different...
4. Do not expect much :(
5. Just an ID (such as DL) and a copy of InfoPass appointment that you should have printed off the Internet ....

Good luck!

She got it!

We got a email confirmation early last week confirming that her GC was approved and can be expected in mail with-in 60 days. Does anyone know what the next steps are now? I am finally happy and did not had to apply for EAD and A/P.

Regards

Congratulations!

Next steps (things you will receive in the mail):
1) I-130 Approval Notice and I-485 Notice Welcoming the New Resident.
2) I-485 Card Production Ordered (notification sent by email if you registered).
3) I-485 Approval Notice (enclosed in it you will find the GC).

Merry Christmas! :D

do you think the infopass helped in unlocking the situation ?
I have a similar situation and have an infopass in 2 weeks.
