I had applied for my EAD card for OPT while I was in F1 on July 2005, my graduation from my Masters degree was in August,2005.
My EAD card (SRC0520950636) was approved in August and I received my EAD card.I began employment with my EAD card in August.
Then I receive a mail with a letter saying that my application was rejected because the bank didnot release funds.(It is my bad luck because First american bank of texas , the check i had issued, was bought by Citibank and they stopped honoring all checks after august,it is not my fault).
I called the 1-800 USCIS service center and a customer service personnel told me send a check of $180 for the form and $30 as a fine.
I sent a money order and its been a month and i didnot get any notifcation from them.I check with the bank today and they confirmed that the money order has not been encashed.
I need to apply for my H1 in april and this issue is giving me a great concern.
