  My friend applied for 485 last year and completed FP in Mar. He got a letter from INS stating his case assigned to Baltimore Local INS. What did it means. Is there any issue on this. your feedback is appreciated.

Noththing to worry kanna, his case has been transefered to the local INS office from VSC, this is normal and happening to few
people. Now he has to wait for the interview letter from the local INS.

This is the "so called local transfer". Fortunately Baltimore now responds to these cases faster than last year.

Note: But there are no guarantees or warrantees when it comes to INS.

I don\'t know under what circumstances they do a local transfer ... myladoor any guesses??
