Immediate AP at Newark for Outsiders??

I recently filed for my AP with VSC and do not foresee approval for another 3-4 mos. Meanwhile I need to travel to India soon and looking forward to get an AP.

Does anyone have experience in getting AP from Newark office even while living outside NJ. I live in NY and has heard that Federal Plaza office is tough on APs.

Any chance that I can get it done at Newark.?

Does anyone applied to Newark office for AP from outside state?
Can we apply in outside state for emergency AP?

Any thoughts on this?
