Immdiate Job change after GC approval

Guys,

Is it possible to change job immediately once GC is received? I would like to know as my current job's contract is ending in a month or so and I believe I should get an approval in a week or so based on the LUD and current circumstances.

Again my quesition is can anybody change his/her job immediately after receiving GC or stay with employer for 6 months.

It is best to check with your lawyer about this.
If the GC obtained thru employement based ( thru your current job) then most folks advice sticking around for at least six months after GC approval.
 
There is no law explicitly forbidding you to change your job immediately after approval. In fact, the law actually states that you can change before approval as long as the new company supports the GC process.
I've never heard anyone get into trouble due to this. On the other hand, I've heard of a lot of people who changed very soon, including the very day that the card got approved.
So just forget about it and if you get your card do as you please.
 
USCIS has revoked GC in certain cases where the individual left the company right after GC approval. I would suggest you to contact your lawyer regaring your situation.
