Hi:
I wanted to find out people experiencing returning to Canada, if they landed in 2000 usingthe IMM1000 form. Did they take your IMM1000 away or stamp it invalid? Or were you able to enter Canada and apply for your PR Card without issues and return to US without issues assuming you had the US Visa? I have accumulated enough time to apply for a PR Card.

Also is the IMM 1000 still valid for travel until you receive your PR Card?

thanks, Mohit

Mohit,

When did you enter/land in 2000, i mean the date of first entry
and how long have you been there ?

Hi Vjj:
I am currently in US but have lived in Canada for > 2 years since I landed in early 2000?? I assume I should have no issues applying for the PR Card?

Let me know if you think differently?

thanks a lot!

That's correct.

You should be okay until 31-Dec-2003.

Perhaps, when you enter Canada, Immg might stamp your
Visa/Landing Papers "Not Valid For Travel" and you need
to apply for PR Card if you intend to Enter/Exit Canada again.

All the best.
