I'm in a weird situation!

Hello everyone :)

My father is a US permanent resident since 2000 (Florida). He made an I-130 petition in my name "permanent redisdent filling for unmarried son or daughter over 21". We got the confirmation receipt with a case number dated feb 2004. That was from TEXAS service center.

A couple of days ago I noticed that I-130 have disappeared from the Texas servce center processing dates' web page. And when I enter my case number in the website to check status, it gives me a message that my petition was received "HERE" on 19th of September 2006 for processing   I was shocked because my receipt date is Feb 2004

I called long distance and entered my receipt number and was told that my case was transferred to California serivce center  I checked their site and found that processing dates are much better than when they were at Texas as they are now processing petetions dated Feb 2005!!

What I need to know, was my petition given the new date of September 2006 when it was transferred from texas to California :( Or does it keep it's original date of feb 2004 which means it is beening processed now? :)

Thanks

Thank you very much :) I hope this is the case, then I'm few months from getting into the good old US of A ;)
Your priority date will ramian the same - Jan 1004. However, you would need to wait a few years for it to become current. The current priority date for 2B category is 01JAN97. Sorry...
The current date for family 1st category - Unmarried Sons and Daughters of Citizens, is currently 01MAY00. So, if your parent becomes a citizen (let's say in a year), and updates already filed petition, that would save you about 2 years of waiting.
