Dear all,
I used this forum a lot when I was processing my immigration documents. Finally, I got what I wanted and below is the timeline. Goodluck to all of you!

October 2002: I130 filled APPROVED: June 2004
(We didn't know that the I29F was quicker till later)
May 2003: I29F Filled APPROVED: June 2003
Sept 2004: EAD Filled APPROVED: November 2004
June 2005: AOS - I485 Filled APPROVED: October 2005
Went for AOS Interview in January and case was recommended for approval
Received GC in Feb.
Joined the NAvy in June 2005 and got USC in March 2006!

Ok I'm sorry but I don't understand your timeline.

You filed for AOS in June 2005, and you were approved in October 2005 before you were interviewed in January 2006? Or you were interviewed in January 2005 before filing for AOS in June 2005 and then getting approved in October 2005? :)

I'm guessing you filed for AOS in June 2003....???
 
Sorry... my mistake.
I130 was approved in June 2004. I went for the med tests and filed for the AOS same month. It was approved in October 2004. My interview was in Jan 2005. Got GC in Feb 2005. Joined the Navy in June 2005. They started processing my USC in Octoberber 2005. It was recommended for approval after the interview and the test in Feb 2006. Finally I was sworn in as USC in March 2006.

Summary
October 2002: I130 filled APPROVED: June 2004

Sorry for being an a$$ here :) ... but I still don't quite grasp it, call me slow :)

So you interviewed for AOS in Jan 2005- understandable.

You received GC in February 2005- understandable.

So was it October 2004 or 2005?

And the funny is both dates don't quite add up to begin with.

Your AOS couldn't have been approved prior to the interview (Jan 2005) so Oct 2004 is out of the question. And since you got your Green Card in (February 2005), that means your AOS was already approved and that rules out October 2005.

Again call me slow :)
