Hello everyone,
Well for those of you who were following my threads , i'm thrilled to let u know that my case was APPROVED.
Firstly, I did stay away from here for a long time, it got me 'too much on my toes' reading all types of experiences so i decided to stay away until after my case. I'm actually reading my last time I visited was July 27th 2006 (I couldnt even remember my password, had trouble resigning)
So here's a little bit of my Big Day. I had my interview on March 2nd, in Dallas, Stemmons Fwy. The officer was female and she was very nice. She asked for ID's, SS#, passports, I-94 etc. Asked a few questions about do we live together and my husbands cell phone number, where he works and so on...then she asked for evidence of bills etc...we gave all to her. I had everything placed in a folder with copies in one section and originals in the other....so handed her all the copies and she was like "I see someone is very organised"
Then she said "U should get your card in the mail...." Oh boy my eyes got so filled with tears and so was my husbands. She said "what are these for?" and we told her that the battle is over finally, just tears of happiness! She said well i guess its a belated b'day present for your wife..cuz i had just celebrated my b'day a couple days b4 and my husband was celebrating his 4 days after our approval.
She said since we had been married for 6 yrs then i wouldnt get the conditional card. I would get the 10 yrs. She went off to make some other copies of things and when she came back she saw us going thru our pics and and she asked to take a look at them and she was smiling at all our different looks of us b4 and went off to make copies of them. Then we thanked her and shook her hands.
Well my husband was always optimistic but i was sought of optimistic, wasnt too sure.
I'm thankful and grateful. Got my welcome letter one wk after and the GREEN CARD exactly 2 wks in the mail (Friday 16th 2007!!)
My life is no longer on pause, no more sleepless nights, no more being edgy and the list goes on. Thanks everyone!!
