I'm wondering if any of you could answer my question. I'm currently a full-time employee under the L1B visa and am going to apply to Labor Certificate next month. I will also start my masters degree from August and will be on the leave of absence for 2 years. This means that I will still be an employee but not full-time. My sponsor company will amend my L1B so that I can study under the L1B and pursue the green card during my study.
My question is - should the green card applicant be a full-time employee? In other words, will I as non full-time employee be unable to proceed at any stage of the green card application? If yes, I would like to know which stage of the application process will be put on hold or even terminated: Filing Labor Certificate, filing I-140, filing EAD and/or filing 485?
I understand that this situation is tricky
but it would be really helpful if you could answer my question...
