Hello,
Has anyone contacted and was helped by any of the Illinois Senators for their application.

Can you please post your experiences. The Senator's website says "Help with Citizenship" only.

Thank you.

Who did you try?

Try Dick Durbin, he was pretty helpful. I think he is pretty friendly to imigrants too. My friend got Sen. Durbin to help him got a visitor visa for his dad.

Even though did not help much, at least he sent querries for me. I got ignored by the other IL senator (the GOP guy).

Good luck!

Sorry Dao

Sen. Fritzerald is no party member and leaving senate for good. He is an anti-force in GOP and basically useless fellow. There are bunch of good folks in GOP. Have heard Congressman Mark?, Henry hyde etc.

I absolutely agree. Sen. Durbin was helpful, indeed (sent an official inquiry to the USCIS). Fitzgerald sayd "Sorry, can't help ya."

We have sent a mail last friday to Senator Dick Durbin. Haven't recd any response as yet, but still we are hopeful that his office might correspond with us once the holidays are over.

It is quite ironic that a prominent lawyer told me that, (s)he cannot do anything since the BCIS processing date is not passed. I told him/her that I expect my lawyer to stand for my interest, but no luck yet. I am very concerned since INS had this habbit of issuing visas to dead people.
Good luck guys!
just 'n fair
