I got arrested in usa by ins for beeng illegal and is shows up on my fbi record.Now iam in romania my natural country and i want to apply for canadian residence in quebec.Does anyone now if that could affect me to obtain the canadian visa?Thanks and apologise for my english.

For your Canadian immigration, you will be required to submit police clearance certificates from all countries where you have lived in the past 10 or 15 years (I don't remember the exact number of years). So if you have an arrest record in the United States, it may affect your prospects of immigrating to Canada. I am not sure if there is a way around....there could be one. Please consult an attorney who specializes in Canadian Immigration. There are quite a few good ones. I have used the services of David Cohen at www.canadavisa.com
