Since I applied for my EAD and AP renewal today, I will get approved soon. That seems to be the trend lately.

My lawyer will make 'free' $600 per case.

AND INS will make free $230. It has to print the receipt, encash the check and reject the application.

Maybe not. Maybe INS will think that since he has applied for EAD and AP he is good for another year and maybe he can wait. Lets clear the ones that have not applied EAD.

Maybe they will put all cases aside and say we will process cases file in Jan and Feb so that we can show a better processing report.

Maybe they will transfer the case to local INS office and not arrange for an interview for the next 6 months

Maybe they will raise an RFE. About the birth certificate. Saying that the certificate is too old. Saying that it was printed in early 70s. We want to see that all over again.

Maybe the RFE is about marraige certificate. Saying that it is in english. That cant be. It needs to be in your local language.

And then raise another RFE, requesting translation of the marraige certificate from local language to english.

Maybe they will hold the case long enough so that I get crazy..

OR

they will enjoy the free $230 and approve my case in the next few weeks

Is it possible to file EAD/AP renewal without Attorney's notice of appearnce. Please guys advise on this...

renewal filing is very simple, you don't need to give any money to your attorney, go ahead and file that
 
yes renewal filing is easy. Can be done without attorney

Its simple. Just follow the instructions on the form. And attache the required proof.

For my wifes application, I had applied for I-131 myself. But my company did not reimburse me for the same. I tried to save them some money but ended up loosing
$110.00 from my pocket. They argued that we are already paying the lawyer. (Some funny logic of Priceline, use it or loose it).

So this time I used the attorney. Attorney sent me the forms I765 and I131 and asked me to sign it and send a copy of my EAD card front and back. And the ADIT style photographs. The only work attorney was going to do was to compile the application with other required proof and fedex the application.

I think you're right - it seems lots of people send in EAD renewal and then get approved. Good luck!!

Lots of "maybes" - hopefully your approval will come soon :)
 
It actually happened. AD 8-Nov

What a coincidence.

My lawyer rcvd EAD renewal rcpts on 5-Nov. And I saw 485 approval on 8th online.

What a nice coincidence!! Or How nice of INS to process application triggered by EAD renewal!!!

Congratulations!

My attorney sent me the AP renewal documents for me to sign and return. I think I'm gonna hold off on it for another month and send it around mid-December when, hopefully, INS'd be near or in the processing of adjudicating Dec 2001 cases :D
