IIO: TSC re-organization in progress

Folks,

I spoke with an IIO today. After engaging her in a little bit of conversation past the initial stage, she shed some light. TSC is doing some internal re-organization to address the massive backlog of I485 cases. I guess this is the usual way TSC works, at least it has happened in the past. They will probably assign a lot of officers to work on I485 adjudications, particularly the ones with FP completed. That might be the reason why we are seeing a flood of FP notices for the last several months. The bad news in the entire conversation was my personal status- she informed that my case has NOT been assigned to a officer yet, bummer!

The consolation is that at least you got to talk to an IIO who was sympathetic to your case. We will see how far the IIO’s statement is true.

This sounds like a Deja vu of what had happened to FP earlier this year.

IIOs seem to acknowledge the problem unlike earlier when they were telling us to wait for another 18 months blah blah blah...

Assuming that TSC regroups this week, we should see flood of approvals starting June.
