IIO\'s and their vague replies

Hi Guys,

I am frustrated by the inconsistent replies the IIOs give. I recd a RFE on the 29th Mar 2001 and replied it on the 3rd Apr 2001. The AVM was updated on 9th Apr 2001. 2.5 weeks ago my lawyer called up to find out about the case and the IIO said a reply should be sent between 2 weeks to 2 months.
Last week on Monday I called up to find out about the case, the IIO said it would take about a week to 10 days for a final decision and that I could inquire at the end of the week. I called up this Monday and spoke to a nice lady IIO who said that the case was assigned to an officer only a week ago and that I should inquire on Wednesday or Friday to check on the case. When I called up today a very disinterested IIO asked my why I was calling today since I had called on Monday. When I told her that I was asked to do so and inquired about the case, she said in two words "No Decision". When I asked when should a decision be reached she said "In a month\'s time.

So from "2 weeks to 2 months" I have gone to "a week to 10 days" to "this wednesday or Friday" to "a months time". I don\'t know what to say about these answers.

Does anybody have a clue of what can be the probable right answers.

Rajeev, Don\'t worry about the responses from the IIOs. All the IIO does is just check the computer and tell you the status of the case. It is really frustrating when you hear differing responses from the IIOs. This is nothing new and we have seen many times for many people on this forum. Usually after the RFE give about 1 months time for approval.

give it some more time.. you see whenever you are calling, you are not getting any good info and are getting
frustrated instead.. you can do without that.. it will come when it will.. (I know that is hard to practice).. that doesnt mean
we should abandon it since if something went wrong, we would want to know so that we can fix it ASAP..
just use your judgement before calling..
