IIO: I140 misplaced in "outside facility"

Ok, it took a while but I eventually got hold of an IIO. She put me on hold for another 20 minutes, while she actually did some real investigation. The answer came back as "your I140 amended was placed in an outside storage facility, we have to get it back before assigning it, we don\'t know how long it takes to get it back." Lucky me.

Do you think INS really need to review I-140 orinial files(I140 orgonial application materials) before they make decision on I485 case? If I140 was approved by one service center but I 485 was sent to another service center but accepted. Will it cause delay? Thanks for advise.

Not sure about that, buddy. My impression from the board is that it is not a problem.

My situation is a little different: they misplaced the Amended I140(which was filed because of a merge). I guess that they need that.
